Since 2017, GriffReich welcomes people with disabilities. Every Thursday, a dedicated group of climbers meets here. They range in age from 16 to 70. They support each other and demonstrate that climbing is for everyone. A team of trainers specially trained in adaptive climbing guides them. They offer techniques tailored to individual needs. Their motto is inspiring: “Whoever wants to finds solutions.”

The GriffReich DAV Kletterzentrum Hannover has climbing walls up to 15 meters high. The climbing hall is built with wood. The structure combines timber framing and a timber skeleton construction. Sturdy wooden panels reinforce the stairwell and elevator shaft. The climbing walls are mounted on wooden frames covered with plywood. Diagonal braces support the hall.

The Kletterkoalas, a youth group for younger children, also meet at GriffReich. They meet on Mondays. They play fun games. They also climb and boulder on the walls. Sometimes, they even spend the night in the climbing hall.

Want to try climbing for the first time? GriffReich has courses for beginners. If you are already experienced in bouldering, you can learn rope climbing here. If you want to climb with ropes, you need some knowledge. You can even earn your Toprope or lead climbing certificate during training.
