Judy Garland died in 1969 at the age of 47. Her funeral in New York City drew 22,000 mourners. Originally, Judy Garland was buried in New York. Later, her remains were moved to Hollywood Forever Cemetery. This fulfilled her children’s wish. They wanted her to be with family in Hollywood.
The mausoleum here is named the Judy Garland Pavilion. It is intended as a resting place for her family members. This includes her daughters Liza Minnelli and Lorna Luft.
