It emerged from a transformative merger of all the education schools and institutes within Beijing Normal University. This consolidation created a unified and powerful force for educational advancement. Beijing Normal University holds a significant distinction: It was the first in China to award master’s and doctoral degrees in education. The Graduate School of Education has inherited this pioneering spirit and continues to push the boundaries of educational research and practice. The Graduate School of Education is a vibrant hub of academic activity. It boasts a faculty of 217 members, 95% of whom hold doctoral degrees. This impressive concentration of expertise ensures that students receive a world-class education. The Graduate School of Education’s commitment to quality extends beyond its faculty. With 2158 students, including undergraduates, master’s students, doctoral candidates, and international students, the school cultivates a diverse and stimulating learning environment. The Graduate School of Education offers a comprehensive range of degree programs. These include 13 doctoral programs, 13 master’s programs, and 4 undergraduate programs. This breadth of offerings allows students to specialize in areas such as Special Education and Educational Technology, both of which are recognized for their excellence by the Ministry of Education. The Graduate School of Education’s impact extends beyond the classroom. It is home to 13 academic institutes and 13 key institutes for research and social service. It has established partnerships with over 120 universities and institutes in 38 countries.
