In 1983 a vision ignited. Pastors Steve and Becky Riggle heeded a divine call. They left California to establish a non-denominational church in Houston. Grace Community Church was born. Twelve people gathered at Clear Lake Intermediate School. This humble beginning marked the start of Grace Fellowship Church.
The church quickly outgrew its initial space. Four weeks later a new building awaited in Webster. Ninety-eight people filled it for its first service. Growth continued. Grace moved again to League City. That location transformed into Grace Christian Academy.
The church experienced tremendous expansion. In 2004 Grace purchased 86 acres on I-45. A new home was constructed. The main auditorium opened in 2006. That same year Spanish services launched. A new campus opened in the Woodlands.
Garrett and Andrea Booth became lead pastors in 2014. They succeeded Steve and Becky Riggle. The Riggles transitioned to founding pastors. They also lead Grace Woodlands and Grace International. Grace International is a global network of churches and ministries.
Today Grace Fellowship Church stands as a prominent Houston institution. It has added services to accommodate growth. Outreach programs serve the Houston area. Grace supports 90 ministries worldwide. The church’s story is one of remarkable growth and unwavering faith. From those initial twelve members to its present size it is a testament to the power of community. The spirit of Grace Fellowship Church continues to inspire. It touches lives locally and internationally.
