Founded in 1983 Grace Community Church stands as a testament to faith and growth. Pastors Steve and Becky Riggle heeded a divine call. They left California to establish a non-denominational church in the Houston area. Twelve people formed the initial congregation. They met at Clear Lake Intermediate School. Within four weeks God provided their first building in Webster Texas. Ninety-eight people attended the first service there.
Grace Community Church continued to flourish. The congregation expanded necessitating a move to a new location in League City. That building now serves as Grace Christian Academy. In 2004 a significant milestone arrived. The church purchased 86 acres on I-45. The construction of their current home commenced. They occupied a portion of the building while completing the main auditorium. Finally in 2006 they opened their doors to the new facility. That same year they launched Spanish-speaking services and a new campus in The Woodlands.
Garrett and Andrea Booth assumed the role of lead pastors in 2014. They followed Steve and Becky Riggle who transitioned to founding pastors. The Riggles also led Grace Woodlands and Grace International a worldwide fellowship. Grace Community Church has become one of the largest churches in the Houston area.
