The Grant family later inherited the estate. Effingham Grant a Scottish aristocrat and engineer renovated the building between 1865 and 1870. It’s been called many names Belvedere Palace Grant Palace and even The Tower House.
But the Golescu Grant Community center is much more than its names. The building is a National Historic Landmark. It’s been carefully restored and repurposed. Inside its walls are twelve activity rooms a parent waiting area and even a room for psychological counseling. There’s a large patio complete with a gym and a playground.
