Golden Mount

Is this some kind of cruel joke asked a mosquito buzzing near the Golden Mount. It tried to land on the glistening surface of the chedi, only to be buffeted away by a strong gust of wind. This Golden Mount may be a famous landmark in Bangkok, but for a tiny creature like me, it’s a formidable challenge. The Golden Mount, formally known as Wat Saket, is not really a mountain.
