Can you feel the energy emanating from Glad Tidings Fellowship? This vibrant church, nestled in Harare, pulsates with a rich history and unwavering faith. Pastor Richmond Chiundiza, once a pastor at Christian Life Center Harare and National Director of Campus Crusade for Christ, birthed Glad Tidings Fellowship from a divine vision. In 1982, a small group began meeting at Highfield Secondary School. Imagine, just a handful of people gathered in a school hall on Sunday afternoons, laying the foundation for what Glad Tidings Fellowship would become. Through evangelism and discipleship, the congregation expanded rapidly under Pastor Chiundiza’s leadership. Glad Tidings Fellowship didn’t just grow within Harare’s city limits. Local churches sprouted in Warren Park, Dzivaresekwa, Glendale, and Kadoma. The “Action 86” outreach initiative further propelled their growth, planting churches throughout Harare and beyond. By 1990, Glad Tidings Fellowship had spread its message of faith to Bulawayo, Gweru, Mutare, and Masvingo. Today, Glad Tidings Fellowship churches can be found in towns and rural areas across Zimbabwe. Their reach extends internationally, with congregations in South Africa, the United Kingdom, Botswana, Malawi, and Zambia. At the heart of Glad Tidings Fellowship’s expansion is the Disciples in Action (DIA) Team. This apostolic team, led by Pastor Chiundiza, has played a crucial role in planting and strengthening assemblies throughout the denomination. The DIA team includes influential figures like Pastor A. T. Gore of GTF Highglen Church, Pastor A. D. Simba of GTF Mufakose Church, and Pastor Kaseke of GTF Dzivaresekwa Church. These apostles have tirelessly spread the word of God across Zimbabwe. Glad Tidings Fellowship’s mission is deeply rooted in the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20. Their global vision is to make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to observe the Lord’s commandments. Here at Glad Tidings Fellowship, the purpose is clear: to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, offering salvation and guidance.
