Is this the church that started with just a handful of people? We are standing in front of Glad Tidings Church, a testament to a vision ignited in 1982. Pastor Richmond Chiundiza, while serving at Christian Life Center Harare and as National Director of Campus Crusade for Christ in Zimbabwe, received a divine calling. He started Glad Tidings Fellowship at Highfield Secondary School in Harare. What began as a small gathering in a school hall blossomed into a beacon of faith. Driven by evangelism and church planting, Glad Tidings Church witnessed phenomenal growth under Pastor Chiundiza’s leadership. The “Action 86” outreach program extended its reach across Harare and beyond, leading to the establishment of churches in Bulawayo, Gweru, Mutare, and Masvingo. Today, Glad Tidings Church stands as a testament to faith in action, its legacy woven into the fabric of Zimbabwe’s spiritual landscape. From those humble beginnings in a school hall, Glad Tidings Church continues to spread a message of hope and faith, its impact resonating far beyond these walls.
