The Gibraltarian Women Monument, unveiled by Justine Picardo, isn’t just a static structure. Its design cleverly uses sunlight and shadow to depict the ever-changing roles of women throughout Gibraltar’s history. Three figures, symbolic of the Rock of Gibraltar itself, shift and transform with the sun’s dance. Mrs. Picardo, at the unveiling, eloquently spoke of the monument’s significance. High above the harbor, the American War Memorial stands. Officially known as the Naval Monument at Gibraltar, it quietly remembers
