The Giáo xứ Tân Phước started within the confines of a French army bunker. Yes, before it became a beacon of faith, it was a storage place for ammunition. Imagine the echoes of prayers replacing the echoes of war.
In 1966 Đức cố Tổng Giám Mục Phaolô Nguyễn Văn Bình officially established the Giáo xứ Tân Phước. This marked a new chapter for the growing community. The bunker was no longer sufficient for the increasing number of parishioners. A nguyện house was built.
Two years later in 1968, cố linh mục Giacôbê Maria Đỗ Thiên Bình started construction of a new church. He wanted to create a solemn place of worship. He envisioned a space that would inspire reverence.
The Giáo xứ Tân Phước continued to serve its community. But time took its toll and the church fell into disrepair. A renovation was necessary to preserve this important place.
On June 24 2006 the new church was inaugurated. This marked a milestone in the development of Giáo xứ Tân Phước. The church became a major religious center in the area.
