Perhaps surprisingly, the Ghana Police Church began in homes. Imagine police officers and civilians meeting for Christian fellowship. This was back in February 1964. They likely did not know their gatherings would become the Ghana Police Church.
These enthusiastic Christians initially called themselves the Combined Protestant Church. Today we know them as The Ghana Police Church. Early services were held in a day nursery at the Licensing Office in Accra.
From the start the founders had a clear vision. They wanted to transform people into Christ-like figures. They aimed to fulfill the great commission. This meant making disciples of all nations.
Over the years, the Ghana Police Church has impacted many lives. It became known as a model interdenominational church. It welcomed all seeking faith, forgiveness, and acceptance. All were welcome who confessed Jesus Christ as Lord.
