The original contractors, AREP/Groupe 3A, faced delays, pushing the completion date from 2012 to 2013 and finally to 2014. One can only imagine the difficulties of constructing underground levels in the unstable soil so close to the sea. In fact, the entire site was flooded in 2010, a major setback that required re-tendering to larger contractors. Yet, despite these hurdles, the Gare de Casa-Port emerged triumphantly. On September 25, 2014, King Mohammed VI himself inaugurated the new station, a symbol of perseverance and progress. Today, Casa-Port is more than just a transit point. It’s a vibrant part of Casablanca’s urban fabric, connecting travelers to various corners of Morocco. The Train Navette Rapide (TNR) whisks passengers to Kenitra via Rabat, while other lines offer journeys to Marrakech, Tangier, and beyond.
