De Neve Plaza is named after Felipe de Neve. He is known as the founder of Los Angeles. Gardenia Way is also known as Lower De Neve. It provides housing for 307 students. Gardenia Way opened in February 2012. This was part of the Northwest Campus In-fill Project.

Imagine the energy here during move-in day. Students arrive eager and ready to start their UCLA journey. Gardenia Residential Building is more than a dorm. It is a community hub. It is one of four new resident hall additions to the UCLA campus. These additions are part of the Northwest Campus Student Housing In-Fill Project.

The Northwest Campus Student Housing In-Fill Project aimed to add 500000 square feet of residential space. It includes a 750-seat dining room. Also, it has 1525 bed spaces for single undergraduate students. There are student meeting rooms and multi-purpose rooms for up to 450 students. This project increased campus housing capacity from 10500 to 12000 students by fall 2013.

PCL Construction Services and Gafcon Inc. played key roles in the project. Gafcon Inc. and Benchmark Contractors were construction managers. PCL introduced BIM for construction to the UCLA campus. Gafcon’s SharePoint360 helped streamline project information. This collaboration contributed to the project’s early completion.

Gardenia Way is a deluxe residential hall. It has features like spacious rooms and individual thermostats. This allows students to control their air conditioning.
