The standard route to the top leads through the south flank. It is an easy hiking trail. The starting point is at the Gasthaus Mattajoch. The Galinagrat offers climbing opportunities for those seeking a challenge.
Here’s a quirky fact. The volleyball club VBC Galina traditionally hands over jerseys to new players. This happens at sunrise on Galinakopf. Quite a unique team initiation, isn’t it?
