Step into the GALERIE SCHRÖDER KULTURCLUB in Augsburg, tucked away within the city’s ancient walls. This unique venue, housed in a building dating back to 1500, has seen a lot of changes over the centuries. Once a bustling brewery known as “Zum Osterlamm,” the building later served as a horse stable and then eventually became a residential space. In 1988, the building was purchased and renovated. It was finally transformed into a vibrant art gallery in 1990.
The SCHRÖDER KULTURCLUB is much more than just an art gallery. It’s also a thriving cultural hub. In 1998, a wine bar was incorporated into the gallery, creating a space where art and wine could intertwine. Now, the gallery hosts exhibitions, live music events, and cultural gatherings. Today, the SCHRÖDER KULTURCLUB remains a beloved destination for art enthusiasts, wine lovers, and those looking for a meaningful cultural experience. It stands as a testament to the transformation of a building over time, showcasing the vibrant artistic spirit of Augsburg.
