Stepping into the vibrant art scene of Frankfurt, let’s pause before Galerie Fleck. This gallery, nestled on Grüneburgweg, isn’t just a space; it’s a legacy. Galerie Fleck, under the discerning eye of Peter Femfert, has championed a unique artistic vision for 39 years. Femfert’s commitment extends beyond exhibiting. He actively shapes the art landscape, curating exhibitions both within Galerie Fleck and in prestigious museums and cultural institutions. Galerie Fleck isn’t confined to Frankfurt. It makes its presence known on the global stage, participating in major international art fairs. The gallery showcases exceptional works by celebrated 20th-century artists, alongside a curated selection of contemporary voices. In 2020, Galerie Fleck, or DIE GALERIE as it’s sometimes known, featured a diverse array of masters. From Chagall’s dreamlike visions to the bold abstractions of Louise Nevelson, the exhibition offered a rich tapestry of artistic expression. The roster included other luminaries like Alain Clément, Corneille, Johannes Heisig, André Masson, Roberto Matta, Carl-Henning Pedersen, Pablo Picasso, and Klaus Zylla. A year prior, in 2019, Galerie Fleck continued its exploration of modern and contemporary art. The exhibition showcased works by Karel Appel, alongside many artists featured in the 2020 exhibition, highlighting Femfert’s enduring relationships with certain artists. This dedication to showcasing both established and emerging talent solidifies Galerie Fleck’s position as a vital force in the art world.
