In 1983, a small group of Slavic people Ukrainians Russians and Polish immigrants saw a need. They wanted a place to worship and connect with others who shared their faith and background. From that small group, the Full Gospel Church of Garfield NJ was born.
Today the Full Gospel Church of Garfield NJ stands as a testament to their vision. While still holding strong to its Slavic roots, the church has grown into a diverse community. It welcomes people from all backgrounds. The Full Gospel Church of Garfield NJ embraces its Pentecostal tradition.
But what does “Full Gospel” really mean? The Full Gospel Church of Garfield NJ believes in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. This includes speaking in tongues as evidence of the Spirit’s presence. They also embrace prophecies and the gifts of the Holy Spirit described in the Bible.
A key aspect of the Full Gospel Church of Garfield NJ is its core beliefs. They believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God. The Full Gospel Church of Garfield NJ offers various services and programs. Sunday morning worship at 10:00 AM is bilingual with live translation between English and Ukrainian. Sunday School is available for children ages 3-12. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.
On Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM the Full Gospel Church of Garfield NJ holds a prayer meeting and Bible study. For young people there are bi-monthly Youth and Junior Youth Fellowships.
