Both the old and new sections of Friedhof St. Mauritz nestle within the charming, green neighborhood of Mauritz. These meticulously maintained grounds offer a tranquil escape. The convenient location makes regular visits easy for people of all ages, fostering a sense of connection with loved ones laid to rest. The Friedhof St. Mauritz serves the Catholic community of St. Mauritz. It welcomes those of Christian faiths and even those without, if their spouse is Christian or already rests here. The cemetery grounds offer a variety of burial options. These include traditional casket burials in single, double, or row graves, as well as children’s graves and crypts. For urn burials, there are individual urn graves, urn crypts, and communal urn graves. The communal graves offer a shared space, cared for by the church for 30 years, with a communal headstone bearing the names of those interred. All plots are granted for 30 years, with options for extension for single, double, urn, and crypt graves. The Friedhof St. Mauritz emphasizes respectful and harmonious design. Grave enclosures, plantings, and headstones should complement the surrounding environment. Specific design guidelines apply to sections VI and VII of the new Friedhof St. Mauritz. This is a memorial and burial site for unborn children and those lost before reaching 500 grams.
