In 1962, a seed of French culture was planted in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This seed blossomed into the French School of Kuala Lumpur (LFKL). It stands before you now, a testament to the enduring bond between France and Malaysia. The French School of Kuala Lumpur wasn’t always here. Its journey began modestly, finding its first home in a different location. In 1983, it relocated to Bukit Tunku. The main campus nestled along Jalan Tun Ismail, while the preschool, the maternelle, charmed from a separate location. The French School of Kuala Lumpur continued to grow. Then in 2004, a new chapter began. The foundation stone for this very campus was laid. By September 2005, the French School of Kuala Lumpur had found its current home, ready to welcome students from around the globe. Today, the French School of Kuala Lumpur thrives as part of a global network. It’s connected to the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE). This network spans 139 countries and includes over 500 schools. LFKL offers classes from kindergarten to high school. It embraces a diverse student body, representing over 44 nationalities. The school provides a French curriculum, including a European section. It also offers a rich tapestry of extracurricular activities. Students can explore their interests in sports, arts, and various academic disciplines. Here at the French School of Kuala Lumpur, multilingualism is key.
