The Freie evangelische Gemeinde Mannheim is more than just a church. It is a community. Founded in 1991, the FeG Mannheim has grown to over 100 members. Up to 160 people attend services. It is located in the Neckarau district. The address is Eisenbahnstraße 14.

Each Sunday, a lively service takes place. It starts at 10:10 am. Children’s services run parallel for different age groups. These are even more lively. During the week, many activities are available for children and young people. Small groups help to deepen community. Faith is lived in everyday life. Everyone is encouraged to participate. They can use their own talents.

The Freie evangelische Gemeinde Mannheim belongs to a larger network. It is part of the Bund Freier evangelischer Gemeinden. This is a corporation under public law. Around 500 other congregations throughout Germany are part of it. In Mannheim, the FeG works with other churches. They are engaged in the network “Gemeinsam für Mannheim”. They also participate in the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft christlicher Kirchen (ACK)”. This is the Fellowship of Christian Churches.

Can’t make it in person? You can join the service via Zoom. The Freie evangelische Gemeinde Mannheim also offers English translation. This is available online and in person. Children’s services occur during the adult service. The services are at 10:30 am. There are two age groups. One group is for children aged 3 to 7. The other group is for children and preteens aged 8 to 12.

The younger children explore the world. They gradually separate from their parents. The FeG supports them. Together, they discover God’s love. The older children learn about God as their friend. They share their everyday lives. They receive encouragement to take steps in faith. Fellowship, games, crafts, laughter, and listening are all important.
