Initially, the building served as the School of Law from 1928 to 1941. Later, it became a girls’ vocational school. It even functioned as a dormitory. Before becoming a museum, it was the Ankara Mufti’s office until 2004. The Vakıflar General Directorate then acquired the building. They restored it specifically to house the Ankara Vakıf Eserleri Müzesi.
Inside the Foundation Works Museum of Ankara, you will find items from all over Turkey. For years, these treasures were stored in the depots of the Vakıflar General Directorate. The collection includes rugs and carpets. Look for the tools used in carpet weaving on the ground floor.
