Founded in 1975 the Formosan Presbyterian Church of Greater Houston holds a special place in the hearts of many. It began as a small gathering of Taiwanese students and professionals seeking fellowship in their native language. These early pioneers held services in homes. Soon the Formosan Presbyterian Church of Greater Houston needed a larger space. In 1976 they started holding services at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church. This temporary arrangement lasted until 1977. Then they officially joined the US Presbyterian Church. They found a permanent home in South Glen Presbyterian Church. This allowed the church to thrive.
