Did you know Flyeralarm started in 2002? It wasn’t always the massive online printing powerhouse we know today. The company began as a small operation handling online print orders. Initially Flyeralarm outsourced printing to other companies. With just three employees they impressively generated over 250000 Euros in revenue during their first year.
Flyeralarm’s rapid growth is truly remarkable. By 2006 they’d purchased their own printing presses. They were operating with twenty large-format and ten medium-format printing machines by 2010. That same year 2006 saw a merger with Towergroup Besitz GmbH. The combined entity continued under the Flyeralarm GmbH name. That year also marked the founding of Druckhaus Mainfranken GmbH a collaboration between Flyeralarm’s founder and Christoph Schleunung.
Flyeralarm’s expansion continued relentlessly. From 2007 to 2019 Thorsten Fischer and Tanja Hammerl shared leadership. In 2009 the company moved its headquarters from Greu00dfenheim to Wuerzburg. The following year they began offering climate-neutral printing for an extra charge.
The company’s product range is incredibly diverse. They print posters flyers stationery calendars brochures invitations business cards and high-gloss magazines. They even print on beverage cans flags and truck tarpaulins. Flyeralarm is not only a printing company but also involved in the sales brokerage and development of digital marketing offerings. Their subsidiary Flyeralarm Digital GmbH develops and sells software products including a program for search engine optimization.
Flyeralarm’s success is evident in its numerous awards. These include the German Fairness Prize from 2014-2023. From 2018-2020 they won several Druck & Medien Awards. They were also recognised as a top training company from 2018-2019. This success is also reflected in their impressive revenue of 400 million Euros in 2022. Flyeralarm employs approximately 2500 people. Approximately 700 work in administration and 1800 in production.
Flyeralarm continues to expand its reach. It operates in twelve European countries. All of its products are made in Germany across fifteen production sites in Mainfranken and the greater Dresden area. Flyeralarm also sponsors various sports teams and organizations. This includes the FC Bayern Basketball team and the FC Admira Wacker Moedling. They are also a sponsor of the German men’s national football team.
