She disguised herself as a fisherwoman, falling in love with a local fisherman named Haipeng. Rumors of her true origins led Haipeng to demand proof of her love – her magical pearl bracelets. Knowing removing them would end her life, she sacrificed herself for him. A heartbroken Haipeng, with the help of a local elder, revived her with a special herb cultivated with his own blood. The pearl she holds is said to be a gift to the elder, a token of gratitude for their love’s revival. The Fisher Girl Statue is more than just a statue; it’s a testament to a love story and a symbol of Zhuhai’s transformation.
