Before integration in 1970, the Fidelity Schools, comprising Fidelity Manor High School and Fidelity Manor Elementary School, served as the sole beacon of education for African American children in the area. Founded in a time of segregation, the Fidelity Schools represented more than just access to education. They were a source of immense pride, a testament to the community’s resilience, and a springboard for future generations.
