Inspired by a visit to the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, the mayor of Ankara envisioned a similar beacon of knowledge in Turkey. Thus, the Feza Gürsey Bilim Merkezi was born, named after the celebrated Turkish mathematician and physicist, Professor Dr. Feza Gürsey. This wasn’t meant to be just another museum filled with static displays. Instead, it was conceived as a vibrant hub of interactive exhibits, workshops, and shows, all designed to make learning an unforgettable adventure. Here, you don’t just observe science – you experience it. You can tinker with electrical circuits, unravel the complexities of the human body, or even embark on a virtual journey through the cosmos. The center boasts 48 exhibits, covering a wide array of scientific disciplines – from the fundamentals of physics and chemistry to the intricacies of biology and the vast expanse of astronomy.
