“Dedicated in 2005, the Fermanian Business Center stands as a testament to vision and generosity. This is the Fermanian Conference Center. It is more than just a building. It embodies a legacy of business education and community support.

Let’s delve into the story behind this vital part of Point Loma Nazarene University. The Fermanian Conference Center, or FBC, offers many resources. These include a lecture hall, faculty offices, an accounting lab, breakout rooms, and a student lounge. The lounge even has an ocean view.

The Fermanian Conference Center came to fruition through the generosity of George Fermanian. He initially established the center in 1990. Later, he dedicated the building to his parents, Haig and Marion Fermanian. George Fermanian was a successful land developer and builder in Southern California. He had deep ties to Pasadena College which is now PLNU. He attended and taught in its business department. Fermanian also consulted on expansions of Nease Residence Hall and Draper Hall.

The Fermanian School of Business is committed to developing difference-makers in the marketplace. It wants people to understand their passions. It encourages people to seek solutions. The school wants people to be driven by creativity. PLNU has a holistic education that dates back more than a century. That tradition continues today in the Fermanian School of Business.

At the Fermanian Conference Center, undergraduate business majors prepare to be effective professionals. Students gain knowledge, skills, and character. They learn to build a lifetime of selfless service.

PLNU is committed to aligning its curriculum with the highest national standards. The Fermanian School of Business Advisory Board prepares you for work beyond university.

The Fermanian Conference Center is more than bricks and mortar. It represents opportunity. It offers engagement. Students can network with alumni and professionals. They can participate in international study. Students can connect with local and regional organizations.

The faculty at the Fermanian Conference Center serve as teachers and mentors. They guide students toward a purposeful education. Students explore influential ideas. They engage in complex questions. The goal is to create a transformative and meaningful experience.

The Fermanian Conference Center stands as a lasting tribute to Haig and Marion Fermanian. Their legacy continues to inspire future generations of business leaders. It is a place where passion meets purpose. The center fosters selfless service and continuous learning. It is a cornerstone of PLNU’s commitment to business education. It helps to create a brighter future.”
