Imagine a seed. A tiny idea planted in the hearts of a few friends. That seed grew into what you see now: Fellowship Denver Church.

In the early 2000s Hunter Beaumont worked in central Denver. He realized the city needed more churches. He envisioned churches that loved the original gospel. These churches would engage people where they were. Dave and Renee Morlan shared this vision.

In spring 2003, Hunter, Eric Taylor, Dave, and Renee met for dinner. The Morlans pitched their church plant idea. Hunter knew the perfect place: central Denver. It was a mix of vision and optimism.

The friends scattered and planned to meet in Denver in 2005. They partnered with Fellowship Associates and the Acts 29 Network. They reconvened in Denver. They laid the groundwork for a church. They networked and prayed. They hosted open forums in coffee shops and bars. They discussed Jesus and The Story of Scripture.

After 15 months they gathered 30 people. These people wanted to start a church. On September 16 2006, they held their first public gathering. It was at Space Gallery on Santa Fe. The first year was small. It was also awkward. But the church began growing steadily toward the end of that year.

In September 2007, Sunday services moved to the Colorado History Museum. This accommodated the church’s growth. In March 2009, services moved to 1770 Sherman Street. By January 2018, Fellowship Denver Church had a permanent home. Sunday services moved to 1990 South Broadway. This followed the completion of their building project.

In August 2022, they launched a second congregation. It was at Arvada High School. It served the North Metro communities. One hundred fifty adults and children were sent out. It was the outgrowth of Fellowship Groups.

Today Fellowship Denver is healthy. It is also growing. It is one church in two congregations. They share a name and beliefs. They also share a mission and collaborative leadership. Each congregation has a pastoral team. Each has a network of Fellowship Groups. The church serves Denver. It sends people on missions. It equips the next generation of disciples. This is Fellowship Denver Church. It helps people follow the original Jesus. You can visit on Sundays at 8:30 or 10:15 am. You’re welcome.
