Dare to enter the Fear Factory. This isn’t just another haunted house. The Fear Factory in Salt Lake City is the real deal. It will throttle your adrenaline.

Over 130 years ago, this site was the Portland Cement Works. The factory’s history is dark. Horrific deaths occurred here. These deaths will make bile etch its way into the back of your throat.

Take George Howe. He maintained the coal crusher. This machine had giant grinding gears. One night, George oiled the gears deep within the crusher. The machine grabbed his sleeve. It slowly pulled him in. George screamed but the factory walls muted his terror. The machine tore him apart.

Accidents increased. Workers grew numb. The factory seemed intent on keeping its gears oiled in blood. This cement factory took victims quickly. Bodies were mauled. They were dismembered, burned, electrocuted, or beheaded.

Charles Whitner worked there only two weeks. Steam from chemical vats made him dizzy. He slipped toward the boiling liquid. He clawed at the burning steel. His fingers melted. Charles disintegrated.

The cursed Portland Cement Works closed. Other businesses acquired the property. The building kept claiming victims. These businesses never lasted. The old factory became home to wanderers. A man was found decapitated near the entrance. Was it the curse?

In 2011, the current owners explored the property. They found expansive spaces and underground tunnels. The Fear Factory Haunted House was born.

At night, it gets freaky. Distant screams echo off the walls. Is it George Howe’s ghost? Is it Charles Whitner’s spirit? Workers have heard the screams. They have seen shadows dash away. A little girl’s laughter haunts the witching hour. There are no records of a child’s death here. Is it a child or a dark entity luring you in? Ghost Adventures featured The Fear Factory.

The Fear Factory attracts thousands every season. The concrete will terrorize your soul. It takes patrons through creepy underground tunnels. Damp catacombs reside there. The adventure spans six acres. Graveyards and wastelands await. Torture chambers and an insane asylum add to the fear. A chapel and a fun house with possessed clowns await you. A tower catwalk reaches 75 feet high. The only way down is a two-story slide.

Psychos with chain saws might chase you. You might navigate an escape through the Hell Silo. Adrenaline junkies can try a bungee free fall. A 200-foot zip line is also available. The Fear Factory uses virtual reality. This experience will make your heart pound.
