Have you ever wondered about the history of a church? The Falelotu Mo’ui Fo’ou Kalaisi in Nuku’alofa is a place of worship for members of the Mo’ui Fo’ou ‘ia Kalaisi Fellowship. The church was built by a group of people who had broken away from another church called the Tokaikolo ‘ia Kalaisi Church. This means that the church here is part of a more recent movement in Tonga. The Tokaikolo Church wanted to claim ownership of the buildings but lost this battle in Court. This means that the Mo’ui Fo’ou ‘ia Kalaisi Fellowship could continue to hold services uninterrupted in their beautiful chapel.
