Here at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the approach is hands-on. Education is practice-oriented. Students can earn Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees. The faculty has many degree programs. It also has many employees. More than 150 people work here. The faculty also hosts many students from various countries. Students come from 29 countries. The faculty has many laboratories. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering offers a broad range of courses. These courses include focuses in production and automation technology. They also include focuses in medical technology. The mechanical engineering programs here are diverse. They prepare students for various careers.

Currently, the department has 1,280 students. About 220 are master’s degree students. The department provides various resources for its students.

The Mechanical Engineering program offers a Master of Science degree. The standard period of study is three semesters. The program admits students in the summer and winter semesters. It targets graduates in related fields. These include Production and Automation Engineering. They also include Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechatronics.

Applicants need a relevant academic degree. They need sufficient practical knowledge. Also, they need proof of German proficiency. An aptitude test is required. The lecture periods run from October to March and March to September.
