“What a history!” Faith Temple Church of God began with a vision. Dr. Mack Trimble and Lady Ruth Trimble organized it. The first service happened on March 19 1969. Committed members helped Pastor and Lady Trimble. They assisted in organizing the church.
These were exciting times. The Lord approved this ministry. People responded to the gospel. Souls were saved. Godly relationships formed. The message of holiness encouraged seekers of the Lord.
Dr. Trimble’s leadership skills became clear. He was Chaplain of the evening service in Korea. He organized Evangelistic Outreach Services. These services were for men. He worked with missionaries in Asia.
Dr. Mack Trimble and his family served faithfully. They were at Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ. Bishop E. B. Stewart was pastor. Bishop Stewart blessed them. Bishop Samuel Crouch sent Pastor Trimble to work. God called him to this ministry.
Dr. Mack Trimble earned several degrees. He had a Bachelor’s from California State University. He got a Master’s in Theology from Azusa Pacific University. He got a certificate from the University of Southern California. He received an Honorary PhD from Long Beach Christian College. He served as Vice President there. He was also a faculty member.
First Lady Ruth Trimble also earned a degree. She got a Bachelor’s in Biblical Christian Counseling. This was from Long Beach Christian College. She served as Administrator for Faith Temple Day Care Center. She was Faith Temple Church Administrator and Office Manager. She chaired the Women’s Department.
Dr. Mack Trimble served Bishop Joe L. Ealy. He was Superintendent of Central District. He chaired the Ordination Board.
God blessed them to build two church facilities. They equipped Elders. These Elders planted churches in California and other states. They were grateful for loyal members. They thanked God for placing them in leadership.
Faith Temple Church of God believes in core truths. They are taught in the Bible. All teaching flows from these doctrines. There is one God in three persons. These are the Father Son and Holy Spirit. He created everything. He deserves all glory. God is perfect. He has love power and wisdom.
God revealed himself through Jesus Christ. He is the image of the invisible God. God also revealed himself through the scriptures. He is revealed through all creation.
Humans were created in God’s image. Adam and Eve were caretakers of creation. They fell from grace by disobeying God. Jesus Christ reconciled us with God. He died for our sins. God offers eternal life to those who follow Christ.
Faith Temple Church of God sees itself as the body of Christ. It is sent to glorify God. It proclaims the gospel. Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead. He will bring God’s kingdom to Earth.

On December 31 2017 Dr. Mack and Lady Ruth Trimble retired. But they did not retire from the work of the Lord.
