In 1924, a seed of faith was planted in Los Angeles. Pastors Alice and Cloid Banning, answering a divine call, left Oklahoma to establish the Faith Tabernacle Church. Initially, their garage served as the sanctuary. As the congregation grew, the need for a larger space became evident. The Faith Tabernacle Church found its permanent home in 1938 at the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Purdue Avenue. This location, just three blocks west of the 405 freeway, has been a beacon of hope for 98 years. The Faith Tabernacle Church is more than just a building. It is a vibrant community. People from all walks of life gather here, united by their faith in Jesus. The church welcomes people from diverse nations and backgrounds. It’s a place for those seeking answers to life’s questions. Every Sunday at 10:00 AM, the doors of Faith Tabernacle Church open for worship. For those unable to attend in person, services are also streamed live on Facebook and YouTube. Prayer is a cornerstone of the Faith Tabernacle Church. Prayer nights are held every Monday at 7:00 PM via conference call and Saturdays at 5:00 PM in the sanctuary. The church’s mission remains steadfast: spreading the love and message of Jesus Christ. While ministry styles and strategies may evolve, the core message of salvation through Jesus Christ endures. The Faith Tabernacle Church continues to be a place where faith flourishes and lives are transformed.
