Faith Holy Temple Church of God in Christ

Stepping into a sanctuary, a place of worship and community, we find ourselves at the Faith Holy Temple Church of God in Christ. This church isn’t just a building. It’s a testament to faith, perseverance, and the power of community. The Faith Holy Temple Church of God in Christ’s story begins over three decades ago. Elder James Gray and his father, Deacon George Gray, searched for a place to establish a church. Their search ended in North Braddock, Pennsylvania. There, at 611 Jones Avenue, the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ was born in October 1984. Elder James Gray and Elder George Stewart, both with extensive ministry experience, became the church’s first pastors. They brought with them not only years of service but also a powerful vision. Their combined Christian experience totaled nearly forty-five years. The church’s foundation was built on the belief that “Everybody is somebody and Jesus Christ is Lord!” The early days saw the church grow from a small group of family members to a thriving community. Among the first members were Jackie Jackson and her sisters, who quickly became integral parts of the growing congregation. The late Elder Walter Womack soon joined as Assistant Pastor, further strengthening the leadership and spiritual guidance of the Faith Holy Temple Church of God in Christ. The church expanded its reach through various outreach ministries, enriching the lives of many who entered its doors. The Faith Holy Temple Church of God in Christ continues to serve as a beacon of faith. It stands as a reminder of the power of community and the enduring strength of shared belief.
