“Kids have great questions about God” says Faith Baptist – Canton. But how did this church begin? Faith Baptist Church started on February 12 1956. Fifty-seven people met at a building. It was on the corner of Warren and Drexel Road in Dearborn Heights.
Three and a half years later Faith Baptist – Canton built its first building. This was in 1959. It was on Ford Road. Over 200 people attended. The building became too small. The congregation was growing. A new building was built in 1964. Attendance grew to over 400.
From the start Faith Baptist – Canton supported missions. It attributes its growth to this. Today Faith Baptist supports over 160 missionaries and projects.
Rev. Donald Gregory founded Faith Baptist – Canton. He was pastor for almost 53 years. Rev. Barry Bedwell became pastor in July 2008. He continues to lead Faith Baptist. He leads it into new phases of ministry and growth.
Faith Baptist Church has come a long way. It started in a schoolhouse. This was on Brenner. It has always been a strong lighthouse. It shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In 2017 Faith Baptist began a project. It built a new facility in Canton MI. Services started on February 3rd 2019.

Greater Vision performed at Faith Baptist – Canton. They performed Gospel Music. Greater Vision performs over 150 concerts each year. They travel to the USA Canada and Europe. They are Gospel Music’s most-awarded Trio.
