Have you ever pondered the transformative power of renovation? Right here, before the Faith Assembly of God Church, stands a testament to that power. This isn’t just a building. It’s a story of rebirth. Faith Assembly of God Church has been a beacon of faith in Rockland County since 1954. It began with a single man’s passion to share the love and hope of Jesus. Now, it’s a vibrant, multi-generational, and multi-ethnic community. The Faith Assembly of God Church underwent a major transformation in 2018. The original 1960s Tudor-style structure received a complete facelift. The exterior renovations included a rebuilt façade. New windows, dormers, siding, roofing, and stonework were added. A new entry tower with a roof-mounted cross became a striking focal point. Inside, the Faith Assembly of God Church was reimagined. The upper main level was converted into a narthex. This created a more ceremonial entrance to the 350-seat sanctuary. Outdated finishes and lighting fixtures were replaced. Two exit stairways and the main entry stairway were renovated. Accessibility improvements were also a priority, including a new ADA-accessible restroom and a replacement wheelchair lift. The renovations breathed new life into the Faith Assembly of God Church. Lead Pastor John Harris noted that the redesigned building represents the beauty and vibrancy of the congregation. It provides an inviting space for members and guests. The changes have fostered a greater sense of community. Parishioners now utilize the flexible seating and warm lighting to gather and socialize before and after services. The Faith Assembly of God Church isn’t just a building. It is a testament to the power of faith and the transformative potential of renovation. It stands as a symbol of renewal and a welcoming space for all who seek spiritual connection.
