Fifty years ago, a vision sparked to life. This vision became the Fachhochschule für die Wirtschaft und bib International College Hannover. It all started with the bib, short for Bildungszentrum für informationsverarbeitende Berufe e. V. From this educational center, three prominent institutions emerged. These were the bib International College, the Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft Nordrhein-Westfalen, and of course, the Fachhochschule für die Wirtschaft Hannover, right here. These institutions share a common goal. They aim to empower young individuals with practical, career-focused education. They guide them on their path to professional success. The Fachhochschule für die Wirtschaft Hannover specifically focuses on business administration, information technology, and management-qualifying programs. Its study concept emphasizes a close integration of theory and practical experience. It boasts collaborations with numerous partner companies. Small learning groups ensure intensive support from professors. This approach has earned the Fachhochschule für die Wirtschaft Hannover top ratings in university rankings. The institution’s roots trace back to the bib International College, established 50 years ago. With over 30,000 graduates and state-of-the-art facilities, the bib International College stands as a modern vocational college. It is a respected name in education and training. Through its collaboration with businesses, the bib imparts job-specific expertise and practical skills. The Fachhochschule für die Wirtschaft Hannover, alongside the FHDW NRW and bib International College, share their expertise through a joint platform. This platform aims to shed light on the diverse opportunities in education and studies. They provide guidance particularly in the fields of Game Design, Computer Science, Media Design and Business (bib International College), as well as Business Administration, Computer Science and Business Informatics (FHDW NRW and FHDW Hannover). In 2020, Dr. Marcus Stücting and Benedikt Willeke took the helm as managing directors. They envisioned an expansion for the FHDW and bib, focusing on their unique strengths. These strengths include a strong practical orientation. They have a resulting flexibility in developing new curricula. They also provide exceptionally personalized student support. Their aim is to prepare students for the demands of the German job market. They see a gap between what companies need and the skills graduates possess. The FHDW aims to bridge this gap, especially in the fields of data science and cybersecurity. The Fachhochschule für die Wirtschaft und bib International College Hannover represents a legacy of innovation. It is a testament to the transformative power of education. It is a place where students are not just taught, but empowered to shape their future.
