The School of Exercise & Nutritional Sciences, housed within this building, has a rich history. It started as a humble physical education department in 1914. Today, it offers a diverse range of undergraduate and master’s degrees in kinesiology, foods and nutrition, athletic training, exercise physiology, and nutritional sciences. Within the Exercise & Nutritional Sciences building, researchers delve into cutting-edge topics. They explore the mysteries of sport-related concussions, analyze the biomechanics of human movement, and investigate the effects of diet on satiety and weight management. The Exercise & Nutritional Sciences building also houses the Adaptive Fitness Clinic, a beacon of hope and empowerment for individuals with physical disabilities. Since 1983, the clinic has transformed the lives of over 1,500 community members. It has also provided invaluable hands-on training to more than 5,000 ENS students.
