In 2011 a decision was made. The phased decommissioning of Evangelischer Friedhof Bornkamp began. This has allowed nature to reclaim its space. The park-like character of the cemetery is enhanced. A visit is still permitted though. Evangelischer Friedhof Bornkamp remains a place of peace and remembrance. It welcomes families and visitors alike who wish to explore this historic site.
