Initially, the Evangelische Missionsgemeinschaft Salzburg existed as a religious association within the Evangelical Church of Austria. It bore the name “Evangelische Missionsgemeinschaft Salzburg e.V. – Gemeinde Unterwegs,” meaning “community on the move.” This name reflected their early years. Lacking a permanent home, they held services in various locations across Salzburg. Imagine their joy in 1999 when they finally acquired their own building in Itzling.
