Why is the Evangelische Gemeinde Vogelstang no longer in the Wiesbadener Straße? That’s what many ask themselves when they stand in front of it today. This modern church, with its distinctive brick facade and flat roof, has been a landmark in the Vogelstang district of Mannheim since 1968. The Evangelische Gemeinde Vogelstang has a relatively short but vibrant history. Founded in 1966, it quickly became a spiritual home for the growing community in this newly developed residential area. Originally sharing a space with another congregation on Wiesbadener Straße, the Evangelische Gemeinde Vogelstang moved to its current location on Eberswalder Weg in 1968. This move marked a significant milestone, providing the congregation with a dedicated space for worship and community activities. The Evangelische Koreanische Kirchengemeinde Mannheim also used to hold services in the old building. But since January 7, 2024, they have also been using the church building on Eberswalder Weg.
