During the 25th-anniversary celebration the first director Jesús Ortiz Figueroa was honored. Former directors founding teachers and alumni from the first generation were recognized. More recently students from the Preschool Education Degree program showcased original books. These books were part of an integrated project. They demonstrated their readiness to become teachers. The students wrote and illustrated these books. The books creatively address important themes. Respect inclusion and social justice are addressed in the books. The texts are in Spanish English Xol and Mixteco.
