The school’s founder, Professor Marcelo Montes Pacheco, envisioned a training program for the nascent tourism industry, offering courses for staff in the Dirección Provincial de Turismo y Transporte. It all started with a proposal for information courses. His foresight led to the formation of this institution, a pioneer in professionalizing the tourism industry, not only in Argentina but also in Latin America. The Escuela de Turismo y Hotelería Montes Pacheco has evolved over the years, moving through several buildings, a testament to its ever-growing student body and expanding curriculum.
