The Ernst-August-Denkmal isn’t just a pretty monument. It’s a tangible link to a pivotal moment in Hanoverian history. Erected in 1861 the bronze statue depicts King Ernst August I. Their expulsion from the kingdom of Hanover is a lesser-known fact often overshadowed by their fairy tales.
