Energia Park a field of dreams. It’s more than just a rugby stadium. It’s a piece of Dublin’s history. Right here on Donnybrook’s former fair green. This very spot echoed with the sounds of the Donnybrook Fair until the mid-1850s. Imagine the bustling crowds the lively bartering. Then quieter times arrived. Bective Rangers and Old Wesley Rugby Clubs found a home here.

For decades Energia Park known then as Donnybrook Stadium was home to Leinster Rugby. The roar of the crowd the thrill of the game. It’s where they played until 2007 when they moved to the nearby RDS Arena. Energia Park continued its legacy. Hosting Ireland Women’s team. Ireland’s under-20s played here too. Matches in the Six Nations Under 20s Championship were held here between 2015 and 2018.

But it wasn’t only rugby. Energia Park hosted concerts. Michael Bublé performed here in 2008. The National and Future Islands graced the stage in 2018. Even American high school football teams played here in 2012. Jesuit Dallas defeated Loyola Academy in a nail-biting game. A last-minute field goal secured the win.

In March 2018 Energia began a sponsorship deal. The stadium was renamed Energia Park. A ten-year deal. This park hosted Leinster Rugby’s sub-academy. The future stars of Leinster trained right here. The grandstand completed in early 2008. A new 3G pitch in 2014. Upgrades made the stadium even better.

Today Energia Park remains a vibrant hub. A place for thrilling rugby matches concerts and more. It stands as a testament to Dublin’s sporting and cultural heritage. It continues to create new memories for rugby fans and music lovers alike. A place where the past meets the present. A place where legends are made. A field of dreams indeed.
