The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kuala Lumpur does more than offer a visa. It also supports the German Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, in legal and consular matters.

To visit the Consular Department, remember to make an appointment. Appointments can be made through the online Electronic Appointment Management System. This is essential for all consular matters including document collection.

The counters of the Consular Department are open Mondays to Fridays. The hours are 9.00 am to 12.00 pm by appointment only. Afternoons are also by appointment only. The Embassy’s office hours are Monday to Thursday from 07.30 am to 04.30 pm. On Fridays, the office is open from 07.30 am to 01.30 pm.

The Embassy is located on the 26th Floor of the Menara Tan & Tan Building. The Embassy supports people with disabilities and strives to ease access to its premises. Handicapped parking spaces are available in the public basement car park, Levels B1 and B2. Wheelchair access to the Menara Tan & Tan Building is available.

However, public transport access can be challenging for wheelchair users. Roads and walkways around the Embassy can be busy. The counters in the Consular Section are not height adjustable. A wheelchair-accessible washroom is available inside the Embassy. Elevators in the building are not equipped for the visually impaired.
