In return, Turkey imports hulk, titanium, and leather products. Furthermore, Turkish Airlines operates flights from Istanbul to Freetown three times a week, further facilitating trade and travel. Turkey, through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), has been actively involved in providing development assistance to Sierra Leone in various sectors. Turkey has also offered scholarships to Sierra Leonean students since 1992, fostering educational and cultural exchange between the two nations.
