It officially opened its doors on October 28, 2020. Ambassador Meas Kim Heng presented his credentials to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, marking the embassy’s official commencement. The inauguration ceremony, a grand affair, took place on February 27, 2022. It was attended by Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Prak Sokhonn, the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
