This area is part of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, showcasing the interconnectedness of these charming villages and the bustling city nearby. Neu Wulmstorf is an interesting municipality. It’s composed of several smaller villages, including Elstorf with its subsection Elstorf-Bachheide, and others like Rade, Rübke, and Schwiederstorf. Interestingly, Neu Wulmstorf wasn’t always known by that name. It officially changed its name from Wulmstorf to Neu Wulmstorf on December 11, 1964.
